Carrying David

Carrying David will play at the Old Courthouse on Saturday 9 November. The story of two brothers: one fighting for his fame the other fighting for his life!

Inspired by the love of his terminally ill brother David, on June 3, 1989, Boxer Glenn McCrory (of Tyrone ancestry) made boxing history, becoming the Cruiserweight Champion of the World.

Funny and heart-breaking, Carrying David is a remarkable one-man play reflecting the highs and many lows of Glenn’s unrelenting drive and incredible sacrifice to become the very first world champion from the North East of England.

Starring Mickey Cochrane, directed by Russell Floyd and written by Ed Waugh.

Tickets are available from Box Office T: 028 9442 8331 or online theoldcourthousetheatre.com
