About The Programme

The Programme offers up to 5 hours of mentoring support with a specialist adviser free of charge.  A selected list of advisers and consultants are available to provide support tailored to the individual needs of your group or organisation. 

Advisers will be selected based on your group’s needs, with the aim of matching your group or organisation to a suitable mentor. 

Example of some Specialisms:

  • Policy Development
  • Finance Planning and Management
  • Event Management
  • Conflict Management
  • IT, Social/Digital Media
  • Technical Assistance (smaller projects outside the scope of the Technical assistance Grant)
  • Application Development (External Funding only)

If required a further 5 hours support can be provided and 50% funded by the Council at a cost of £25 per hour to the group. 

 

Who Can Apply?

Constituted Community groups and organisations established for more than 6 months and based in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area.

Terms & Conditions

The Community ASK programme is funded by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and is only available to community groups and organisations based in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area.
5 hours free mentoring is allocated on a per group/organisation basis. All mentoring must be completed before the programme end date.

Only mentors approved by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council will be used in the mentoring process. Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council will not accept liability for advice given by independent advisers.
